Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park

View southwest to Halema`uma`u caldera from the rim of Kīlauea caldera in 1991. This was early in the current Kīlauea eruptive period and fumarole activity was obvious on both caldera rims. The photos below were taken in 2005 and vapor emissions were not noticeable from a distance.

Island of Hawai`i showing 5 volcanoes and a sixth on its way (Lo`ihi).  Kohala has the oldest dated flows (~1 Ma) and the
youngest are still being erupted.
